No you are not losing the color from your eyesight. This is a black and white painting. Looks kind of like a sketch. Which it should. That was the look I was going for. What I wasn't going for was high school art contest. I think that may be what I got though. Anyway, the idea was inspired by some lineart paintings that Pottery Barn has for sale. I wanted to do something architectural but simple for a charity auction this Saturday. They are 16x20s, acrylic on canvas.
This will be a series of two and will be sold together. The Pottery Barn inspirations are seen below. One thing I will say; I will not be misspelling Colosseum.
